The two busy body drivers who attacked and wounded a LASTMA OFFICIAL at pen cinema area of Agege has been sent to prison for remand when they could not meet with the bail condition.
The LASTMA OFFICIAL contravene one vehicle driven against traffic and was not using his seat belt when the two suspects identified as Emmanuel Edet, 50 years old and Adekunle Moradeyo 47 years old walked up to the LASTMA OFFICIAL also identified as Kazeem Usman and challenged him for arresting the motorist and asked him to allow the motorist to go, and the LASTMA OFFICIAL said he will not allow him to go, so they both beat him, tore his LASTMA uniform and also hit him with an object on the head which inflicted injuries on his head.
The LASTMA OFFICIAL was able to put a call across to pen cinema divisional police officer DPO superintendent of police SP Cyril Nwobo who immediately dispatched his officers to the scene to arrest the two suspects.
According to Mr Kazeem Usman, his Samsung handset valued at #45,000.00 was stolen during the attack. The two suspects were charged to court 19 on six counts charges bordering on assault, wounding, conduct likely to cause breach of peace and stealing.
Count one reads that You Emmanuel Edet ‘m’ 50 and Adekunle Moradeyo ‘m’ 47 and others at large, on the 30th day of April, 2019 at about 06:30hrs, at Odejobi Junction pen cinema Agege Lagos, in the Lagos magisterial district, did conspired together to commit offence (s) to wit Assults occasioning harm , Assults, serious Assault, stealing, willful damage and conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 411 and 412 of the criminal law of Lagos state 2015.
They were both granted bail in the sum of #300,000.00 with two surety each who must show evidence of tax payment and their residence verify by the court.
They were both remanded in prison custody pending when they will meet the bail conditions.
When our correspondent visited pen cinema police station, the IPO Sergeant Funsho Akingbehin declined to speak and the DPO Mr Cyril Nwobo was said to have gone to area ‘G’ police command Ogba to see the area commander.
