Three farmers allegedly killed by herdsmen in another forest attack


Suspected Fulani herdsmen have allegedly killed 3 farmers in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Source  gathered that the suspected herdsmen killed the farmers in a forest within the Ijugbere axis of Owo Local Government Area on Saturday evening.

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Agriculture, Akin Olotu confirmed the killing via a text message.

He described the killing of the farmers as unfortunate, saying, “those blaming Governor Akeredolu for saying the illegal occupants should vacate the forest should bury their heads in shame.”

However, when contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer of Ondo State Police Command, ASP Tee Leo Ikoro said he hasn’t been briefed about the incident, but he said once he has enough information, he will address the press.
