Seven Soldiers reportedly feared dead in fresh Boko Haram deadly attack


At least seven Soldiers attached to 153 Task Force battalion in Marte Local Government Area of Borno State have been reportedly killed following a deadly attack by the Boko Haram terrorists.

The Soldiers were said to have been overwhelmed by the terrorists after putting up a strong defense of their base.

The Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima, has not been able to confirm the killing as of the time of filing this report stating that a proper information on the attack has not been communicated to him.

However sources said the troops were caught unaware by the insurgents that ambushed them, 10am on Monday.

The sources confirmed that the unit has been moved to Dikwa, another Council Area as a result of the bloody attack.
